Ledgent Finance & Accounting is currently seeking a temp-to-hire Bookkeeper/Accountant for our client, an insurance company. The position is in Greenway Plaza area/Central Houston. This position will be a hybrid position after the training period, and then you will work in office 3 days a week and can work remotely 2 days a week! They are looking to interview and have someone start ASAP.

Duties include:
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Bank and account reconciliation
Month-end close
Journal entries
Miscellaneous accounting duties

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting + 2 years of experience OR 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in lieu of degree
Advanced Excel skills required (vlookups, pivot tables, and formulas)

Pay range $30-35/hr. depending upon experience.
